Production – Day 7

What a day, what a day… Initially planned as a night shoot, but changed to a day shoot due to the fights with the sun, rain, tides, visitors, and other random issues. So we had a lot of catching up to do. It’s really hard to shoot in such an uncontrolled environment. The weather keeps changing constantly… It’s overcast then sunny then suddenly it rains. And by saying rain, I don’t mean the tiny raindrops falling from the sky but more like the divine shower :-)

Again, we managed to get what we needed, knowing that we actually were lucky because it could have been much worse…

Here again a few pictures from set:

The day started off with some sun. We enjoyed it while it lasted...

Sexy Nikki, our Make Up and Hair Assistant.

Nicoa, our 2nd AC/Loader doing his job.

Mo talking to the upcoming storm. "Just give us 2 more hours and we can finish..."

Snapshot of our cast. How cool it looks through a broken mirror ... (i didn't break it!)

Most of the scenes where shot with A and B camera. Chris Popp operates A and Aiken Weiss B.

Alberto our courageous Boom Operator.

Our Assistant Directors: 1st AD Jonathan, 2nd 2nd AD Valeria and 2nd AD Sarah.

A bloodtrail leading into the adventure!

Towards the end of the day the storm finally arrived...

Tomorrow we will move to a different location. We’ll be leaving the beach and heading towards Rio Corinto in central Costa Rica. I’m not sure if I’ll have access to the internet… So please keep checking.
