Last river day (Production Day 12)

A short last day at our green river...

Normally the riverbed is dried out and our Production Supervisor said that he had never seen water in there. Well that changed with "The Tribe".

Water + Soil = Mud. And that was the formula for every day at our fairytale location. We literally carried many pounds of the riverbed back to our hotel :-) We learned that the moss-covered rocks are the safe ones and not to touch the beautiful looking red frogs or flip over rocks (under which tarantulas liveā€¦)

As mentioned it was our last day before the move back to Alajuela where we stayed during pre-production. It is also our main location where we will be shooting for the rest of our stay in Costa Rica.

Here are some impressions of the day:

Unloading the camera truck...

Due to the water, the grips had to bild a platform for camera and a walkway for Jewel.

Lizzard out of the box, also provided by Proteus FX.

Run, Jewel, Run!

What a team! Director Jorg and Producer Mo.

Up in the trees: Scott alias "The Fox".

And in the end of the day, Sarah, our 2nd AD, distributes the call sheets for the next day.

  • Wow, guys. This looks like it's going to be an awesome movie. I can't wait for it to come out. I love jungle movies. They're so fun, and busy. Everywhere you look, there is something going on. The dead panther looks pretty cool. :P

Big fan of Jewel Staite. Good luck everyone.
